Red River Communications is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Sales Specialist to promote and sell internet/Wi-Fi, phone, and television services to residential customers throughout our service territory, with a significant portion of the role focused on door-to-door sales.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys meeting people face-to-face, building relationships, and spending much of their time in the field helping customers find the right communication solutions for their homes through door-to-door outreach, follow-up, and community engagement. 

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, professional, organized, and comfortable working independently while staying connected with the Customer Experience team. To apply, email your resume to [email protected].

What You’ll Do:
  • Sell Red River Communications’ residential products and services throughout the service territory, meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Spend a significant portion of work time conducting door-to-door residential sales, along with outreach activities, community events, and follow-up communication with prospective and current customers.
  • Listen to customer needs, explain available services, and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Coordinate with the Customer Experience team and other departments to ensure customer expectations, lead times, and service needs are clearly communicated.
  • Maintain accurate records, provide regular activity reports, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Represent Red River Communications professionally, protect customer confidentiality, and support a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid and insurable driver’s license.
  • General knowledge of telecommunications services, sales practices, marketing, and office procedures preferred.
  • Ability to use computers, Microsoft Office, software programs, and office equipment.
  • Strong communication, organization, planning, and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, build rapport with customers, exercise sound judgment, and support company goals and safety standards.

Southern Valley Utilities is hiring a Seasonal Utility Worker to join our Outside Plant Construction team based in Abercrombie, North Dakota.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working outside, takes pride in a job well done, and wants to gain valuable experience in utility construction, fiber-optic networks, and heavy equipment operation.

What You’ll Do:

As part of our construction crew, you’ll help build and maintain the underground infrastructure that keeps our communities connected. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with underground fiber-optic cable installation
  • Digging trenches and placing conduit and cable
  • Operating construction equipment and power tools
  • Restoring yards, roadsides, and disturbed surfaces after construction
  • Installing and repairing utility pedestals and related equipment
  • Supporting Network Technicians and construction crews on special projects
  • Maintaining company grounds and facilities
  • Performing general labor and construction-related tasks as assigned

This is a crucial role in helping communities gain access to faster internet. Your work will directly impact how we expand our network, and you’ll be engaging with local governments and key stakeholders to make it happen.

What You Bring:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is a must
  • Heavy equipment experience is a plus
  • CDL Class A is preferred but not required
  • Construction, landscaping, farming, utility, or equipment operation experience is helpful but not required
