Shopping Prime Days? Make Sure Your Fire TV Stick Works with Red River Digital TV

Amazon Prime Days can mean some great deals on streaming devices. If you’re a Red River Digital TV customer, it’s also a good opportunity to add a streaming device to another TV in your home.

But before you click “Buy Now,” there’s one important thing to know:

Not every Fire TV device is compatible with Red River Digital TV.

A Great Option: Fire TV Stick 4K Max

One device we recommend is the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max – 2nd Generation (model K3R6AT).

This model is approved for use with Red River Digital TV and includes 4K streaming, Wi-Fi 6E support, and Alexa voice features.

Connect the Fire TV Stick to a compatible TV, download the Red River Digital TV app, and sign in to start watching.

It’s an easy, affordable way to add Red River Digital TV to another television in your home.

Check the Model Before You Buy

Amazon offers several generations and versions of its Fire TV products, and not all of them work with Red River Digital TV.

Our currently approved Amazon Fire TV devices include:

  • Fire TV Stick 4K Max 2nd Gen — K3R6AT
  • Fire TV Stick 4K Max 1st Gen — K2R2TE
  • Fire TV Stick 3rd Gen — S3L46N
  • Fire TV Stick 2nd Gen — LY73PR
  • Fire TV 3rd Gen — LDC9WZ
  • Fire TV Cube 3rd Gen — GA5Z9L
  • Fire TV Cube 2nd Gen — A78V3N

When shopping, we recommend checking the generation and model number, not just the product name – because the names often change.

What About a TV with Fire TV Built In?

This is an important distinction:

Red River Digital TV does NOT currently support televisions with Fire TV built in.

Even if the television uses Amazon’s Fire TV platform, it differs from using a compatible standalone Fire TV Stick or Fire TV Cube.

First-generation Fire TV devices are also not supported.

Other Streaming Devices Work, Too!

Already have another streaming device? Red River Digital TV also supports select models from Roku, Apple TV, Google TV/Android TV, NVIDIA, and TiVo.

Compatibility depends on the specific model and generation, so check our complete approved-device list before purchasing something new.

Not Sure? Ask Us Before You Buy!

A streaming-device deal isn’t much of a deal if it doesn’t work with your TV service.
