Gopher Bounty Program
Keeping our Fiber Safe
Red River Communications’ Gopher Bounty Program invites young people to discover the art of trapping. Every Red River customer is welcome to participate, and families trapping with a child 18 or younger can claim three free traps. It is a hands-on way for youth to learn new skills and earn extra cash.

Pocket gophers may seem small, but they can cause big problems.
When gophers dig and chew underground, they threaten the fiber-optic cables that keep us connected. Their mischief (chewing on our fiber-optic cables) can lead to costly repairs and sudden outages of the internet, phone, and even 911 emergency services. By joining forces, we can safeguard the vital network that links our rural communities.
